"You ever have a conversation with another magician where in just a few minutes he tells you something that dramatically improves everything in a trick, your show, or your business?""Let me add my wholehearted endorsement of Magic 365 to the list. I have personally called several magicians and told them to buy it. After 56 years in this business, I still found lots of gems and nuggets of wisdom in the book. And some of the "war stories" that do not even have a lesson to them are still gems worth reading. This is one of the few books that I will go back to and reference again and again. Great job."-
Jim Kleefeld"Thank you so very much! I am loving your 365 book. I've been performing for 40 years and, yet, there are so many things I've learned. Many thanks!"-
Jim Barron"Hey Doc! Been reading 365 and absolutely loving it all! It's one of those rare, flip to any page and retrieve your FIVE nuggets of gold. And as I'm reading it, it's totally in your voice. Now pardon me while I look up "Godwin's Law." You and your footnotes man... Congratulations on this release. It was well worth the wait."-
Daniel Quintana"Your 365 book is like reading a religious devotional-I can only read so much at a time because you're forced to think about the wisdom that was just shared, which, in turn, gets the creative juices flowing. I like that feeling; thank you. Just wanted to pass along that I'm enjoying it very much. Nice job!"-
Al HastingsI have been writing this book for over three years and have been living it for over thirty.

When I write for magicians, the context that lives in my head is I'm at a diner table with the reader and we're talking magic. I love that. It's cutting up jackpots at 3 am over coffee. Or riding the shuttle to the airport talking about what worked well, or didn't. The tips, advice, and smarts come in powerful, bite-size chunks. And sometimes in big meals. This book is that experience in book form. And 365 of those conversations.
Often the source of the smarts go way back. I recently saw a video of my friend and inspiration, the late great Denny Haney.
Denny share smarts he learned from Johnny Aladdin.
And Johnny Aladdin learned them from John Calvert. Legend has it Mr. Calvert learned them from Jannes & Jambres.
Like I said.

And over a dozen routines for stage/platform, including:Double Dog Dare: Two spectators look at pictures of several dozen different animals. Without them saying a word and without any forces, you tell them what animal they are thinking of. No sleight of hand needed. Other than the method, what makes this work so well on stage is the routining. It begins comically, showing comical animal drawing that are hard to identify, then segues smoothly into a baffling magic climax.
Niagara Selection: A selected card is lost in the deck. A glass is filled with water and inverted. The water does not spill. You turn your back to the volunteer and he starts silently going through the cards. Even though you can't see the volunteer, the water spills at the exact moment he reaches his selection. Nearly every one and their mother presents the hydrostatic glass the same way. In my opinion, Niagara Selection is a big step forward.
The World's Easiest $1 Santa Production: Have a holiday client ask you to "make Santa magically appear?" Don't want Santa "hiding somewhere for 30 minutes" to make it happen? This approach solves the challenge in an easy, inexpensive, and theatrically satisfying way.
Torn & Restored Newspaper Card Trick: You share how you were so obsessed with card tricks as child, your mother took your cards from you for a week for your own good - and her sanity. You rose to the challenge and did card tricks with a newspaper.
Tooth Fairy: A signed bill to impossible location routine (and a transposition, too!) that centers around being a parent and being shaken down for tooth fairy money.
TP: A hilarious audience participation torn and restored toilet paper routine. Get a roll of toilet paper, plus the extra something that can fit flat in your wallet, and your set for several minutes of onstage laughs.
Pre-Show Prediction Enhancer: An easy, effective, 100% foolproof way to give real time predictions an added huge applause pop!
